Christmas Eve Treat Run 2013

The Greeneville Fire Department’s annual treat run is always a favorite for the citizens and the firefighters alike. A cold winters day put the feeling of Christmas in the air, but the firefighters, their families, and friends all working to help Santa put smiles of the faces of the young and old alike, truly put the feeling of the Christmas spirit in the air.
MMA 2 Graduation
Thirteen of our employees and 13 employees from the City of Morristown were recognized July 17 in a graduation ceremony for Level 2 of the Municipal Management Academy.

Our employees attended monthly sessions rotating at our Central Fire Station and the Morristown City Center. To graduate, each employee must attend all eight sessions of MMA, each of which lasts four hours.

MMA, a program of the University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service, is designed to help both the new and the experience manager/supervisor develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for successful management. Each course emphasizes discussion and group activities to encourage participants to learn from one another, often resulting in better teamwork, cohesiveness, and communications among managers.

Our participants included: William Barner, John Darnell, Brooke Davis, Craig Fillers, Mark Foulks, Butch Patterson, Brad Peters, Amy Rose, Marty Shelton, Alan Shipley, Carol Susong, and Jeff Woods.
