Town Government
Greeneville’s government is a Council-Manager form of government.. The City Council consists of 4 Council Members and the Town Mayor. Two Council Members each are elected from the Town’s two wards. The Mayor is elected from the Town at large.
The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town government; supervising all employees, implementing Board decisions, and advising the Board of improvements for the Town. The City Manager is also responsible for developing and presenting an annual budget to the City Council for consideration.
