Battallion-1

Battalion

Battalion-1 is used by the shift commander to coordinate scenes that have more than a single engine company response. A command area in the rear of the vehicle allows the shift commander a location to access a radio with headphones to monitor radio transmissions, an accountability system to track on-scene units, and a host of other items.

Engine-1

Engine-1

Placed into service in January 2014, Engine-1 is a Sutphen 75' ladder truck and it has approximately 500 gallons of on-board water and 30 gallons of foam solution. Responding from the Summer Street station #1, it carries a crew of three to respond to all sorts of incidents. The response area for it is the downtown area and surrounding subdivisions on the West side of town.

Engine-4

Engine-4

Engine-4 is a 2018 engine that responds from the Mt. Bethel Station #4 with a crew of three. The station is in the middle of a residential neighborhood and has a few schools and businesses in its jurisdiction. Engine-4 has a 1,500 gallon per minute pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water.

Reserve-2

Engine-2

Reserve-2 is a 1999 engine that responds from Station #2 with a crew of three to answer a variety of calls. Located in the department's newest station, it covers areas of residential and commercial locations including the Farmers' Co-Op and the former Takoma Hospital. Reserve-2 is a 1,250 gallon per minute pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water.

Engine-3

Reserve-3 is a 1997 ladder truck responds from the East AJ Hwy station #3 to a variety of calls with several types of commercial, industrial, and residential locations. Engine-3 has a crew of three to handle these incidents with a 1,500 gallon per minute pump and a 50' ladder.

Tower-3

Tower 3

Tower-3 is a 2023 Sutphen SPH 100 Aerial Platform Ladder Truck. The ladder can extend up to 100' for firefighting and rescue operations. The platform gives multiple rescue options. Non-ambulatory patients can be rescued and lowered to the ground. It has a 2,000 gallon per minute pump and dual aerial master streams in a four-door, four-person cab.

Mini-Pumper

Mini-pumper

The mini-pumper is on a Ford F-550 chassis with a 1,500 gallons-per-minute pump and has 310 gallons of water and 20 gallons of Class-A foam on it.

HAZMAT-1

HAZMAT-1 responds from Station #2 to hazardous material incidents inside the city and Greene County as well. This unit is staffed by on-duty firefighters as a call is reported. Either the engine will follow or members will take the engine completely out of service to respond.
