Career Opportunities at the Greeneville Fire Department

The Town of Greeneville Fire Department will now be conducting testing on an annual basis and will be accepting applications beginning October 13th, 2025. Greeneville Fire/Rescue is a full-hazard department responding to fire, rescue, hazmat, and medical emergencies. The GFD has 43 members with 4 fire stations throughout the town.

Recruit salary starts at $48,273.26. Salary after training for Firefighter is $53,728.06.

Physical agility tests will take place on November 8th and all applicants will be contacted to schedule a time for testing. Written Test for those who pass the agility test will be after the Agility Tests are completed.
