The Greeneville Police Department K-9 unit currently consists of 3 officer / K-9 teams. Lt. Shawn Hinkle leads the K-9 Division. K-9 Pasa patrols with Officer Larry Gilbert, ECHO patrols with Officer Derek Casteel, Rip patrols with Officer Chase Bible. The K-9's are Malinois trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and patrol. Specifically, they are trained to detect methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin.
