The Town of Greeneville is governed by the City Council. The documents that outline governance for the City Council are the Town Charter and the Municipal Code. These two documents outline the groups that assist the City Council in the form of boards, commissions, and authorities.

Open Positions

There are currently three open positions available on the Greeneville Municipal Parking Authority. These are two-year terms. Applications are being accepted until Monday, April 6 at 5 pm. Click the button to Apply Now.

There will be elections in August 2026 for certain positions in the Greeneville City Council, Greeneville Board of Education, and the Greeneville Water Commission.
