NOTICE OF PAVEMENT RESURFACING
Information from TDOT and contractors:
Beginning Tuesday, October 21st, crews with Summers-Taylor will begin work on a pavement resurfacing project. The first step will consist of milling sections of three roads.
On Wednesday, October 22nd, crews will begin paving a segment (0.64 miles) of Erwin Highway from 11E to the Greeneville and Tusculum city-limit line.
When this section is complete, they will move paving operations to a 1.92-mile segment of Old Shiloh Road from Old Tusculum Road to Shiloh Road.
Next, paving will move to E Church Street to pave 1.2 miles between Bernard and Buckingham Drive (near Stratford Dr.).
The attached maps show the project areas.
We anticipate that all three roads will be paved within 2 weeks, weather permitting. Flagging operations will occur at all locations, with no closures anticipated. After the paving is complete, permanent striping will be installed.
As more information changes or becomes available, we will continue to share updates.

Prime Contractor is King General Contractors
Contract Completion Date is 6/15/2026
Progress Status:
Currently working under the bridge from Snapps Ferry and in the TDOT ROW between the ramps and 11E. The contractor plans to close the right northbound lane on Snapps Ferry starting 9/11/2025
Although the lane closures will alternate on Snapps Ferry, two lanes will be open at all times (one lane each direction)
It will likely be several months, but 11E at the bridge will be reduced to one lane each direction when the contractor begins working on the bridge deck
All four lanes on Snapps Ferry are to remain open while the 11E lane closures and wide load detour are in place
